The player who chose their Party Leader last is the first player, and gameplay continues clockwise around the table. The remaining cards are placed face down to create the Monster deck. Shuffle the Monster cards and reveal the top three Monster cards by placing them face up in the middle of the table. The remaining cards can be placed in the middle of the table, forming the main deck. Shuffle the rest of the cards together and deal five cards to each player. Any remaining Party Leader cards and rules reference cards back in the box. Next, give each player a rules reference card. Roll to determine who gets to choose their leader first.
Each player should place this card in front of them, creating their Party. Start setup by separating the different types of cards found in the box, then have each player choose one Party Leader character to represent them throughout the game.
